How to light the barbecue with the Rapid'BBQ?

How does the Electric Barbecue Lighter Rapid'BBQ work?

Rapid'BBQ electric charcoal barbecue starter lighterThe Rapid'BBQ is an electric resistance that heats up when the mains is connected. The heat effect is clearly enough to light the charcoal in the barbecue very fast and without failure. It takes 8-10 minutes depending on how the charcoal is positioned in contact with the Rapid'BBQ and the quality of the charcoal. This picture is taken after 8 minutes (the Rapid'BBQ is here placed a little outside the charcoal, just for illustration purposes). This is the moment to disconnect the mains, take the Rapid'BBQ out of the barbecue and put the grill back on.

Of course, the front part of the Rapid'BBQ is still very hot, and you should be careful with the burning hazard, even if it cools down quite quickly. Put it in a safe place on its stand so that nobody gets burned.

On the Rapid'BBQ site you'll find:

Articles about different aspects of the Barbecue (types of barbecues, preparation, lighting of the barbecue, recipes, cooking and maintenance). Of course, we also propose a bbq discussion board, where we together can discuss all this.
Our French friend Alain, a passionate for Barbecue, will write us regular editorials and Susanna the Chef will be orchestering the recipes and will also write us about her thoughts. You can also discuss with them on the discussion board.

Let’s prepare the upcoming season by a first maintenance of the Charcoal Barbecue and equipment.
